SDC251: Black and White Only

Hello everyone and welcome back to another great week here at Stampotique. We are thrilled to have you all back!
This week at Stampotique Nellie van Leeuwin is our hostess and she is challenging us to "Black and White Only" here is what Nellie says about this challenge:

"I challenge you to use only black and white in your project this week"

So there you have it, let's play with only black and white! What a challenge this will be.

This is our last week with Arwen McCullen being our "Spotlight Designer", we have had a lot of fun learning more about her and the things she loves! Here are a few more fun facts about Arwen

1. If you were stranded on an island what craft supply would you want there with you?
OMG - is there a large-capacity machine for my stuff? I couldn't decide, because I constantly like to make something else :)
I think my Polychromos, paper and my stamps would be a start.
But then the raft would already slump.

2. Free for all... any extra little kid bits of information
Huh, I do not like people :)
Of course there are exceptions;) but I would prefer the company of animals which mankind anytime.
What no one believes - I'm very shy and have problems reaching out to other people.

SDC250: Butterflies and Flowers and All Things Garden

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog today. We are so excited with all the entries from last week's "Man Up" Challenge. Thanks to everyone who took part in it.
Jackie Payne is our hostess this week and she is taking us on a "Butterflies, Flowers and all things Garden" adventure
Here is what Jackie says about this challenge:
"Now that summer is almost here, it's time to spend some time in the garden and enjoy the nature and flowers. Let's see your best Butterfly, flowers and all things Garden projects"

We also have a few more fun facts about our Spotlight designer "Arwen McCullen"

1. Do you clean your stamps/stencils?
Naturally! That's damn expensive stuff.

2. Where do you do most of your crafting?
I have a creative corner in my living room. In a separate room I would feel lonely. I like to have my daughter and my cats around me.

3. Do you keep or give away your crafts?
I am a collector :) But I give my works for birthdays or send postcards. Or as little attention during visits. Sometimes I sell my projects.

4. Do you have other hobbies?
I love books - I am a bookworm :) Then there are the many great fantasy and horror films.
I sew my own clothes and I love to take photos.

SDC249: Man Up

Hello again and welcome back to the blog today. We had a wonderful time last week with Nellie's All Creatures challenge and we have a great new challenge for you this week.
With Father's Day coming up this weekend this is the perfect challenge...

Carol Fox is our hostess and she is challenging us to a manly challenge. "Man Up" is her challenge theme and here is what Carol says about this one:
"Journal page, card or mixed media, all is ok as long as it has a male image on it"

So let's see your best "Man Up" projects this week.

Arwen McCullen is our wonderful spotlight designer this month so let's find out a little more about her. Here is some more Q&A from Arwen:

1. How long have you been crafting/stamping?
I have been creative my whole life.
I started stamping in 2004 as a craft friend gave me a stamp. The stamp addiction came very quickly and spreads still raging out.
I'd sell my grandmother for a great stamp (just kidding) ;)

2. What got you started in crafting/stamping?
I started with cute designs of Penny Black, Magnolia etc.
In my modeling environment there was hardly anyone who liked it gloomy.
Then, when I got my first Stampotique stamp, I could live out my dark side really.

3. Do you craft with music or do you prefer quiet?
Differently. I often listen to music and sometimes I play a movie in the background

Remember that, as always, you have the rest of the month to play along with this theme to be entered in our monthly draw!

Before we indulge in the designers' take on this challenge, let's check in again with Arwen McCullen, our fabulous Spotlight Designer. Here are some more questions and answers from her:

1. How often do you craft?
As long as nothing goes wrong me, every day.
It's like therapy.

2. Are you on other design teams?
No, not so far.

3. What is your favorite color?
In my life, black, purple, and silver.
In my works I like sometimes green, blue, pink, orange.

4. Who or what is your muse?
My mood ;)

5. Describe your crafting style
Basically, I'm trying to draw attention with my projects on certain topics. Depression, heartache, pollution etc.
Often my works are rather morbid - I love the dark side :)
